I am a new ebay seller selling facebook fans and twitter fans and also some other backlinks products. Regarding backlinks I "ship" deliver the backlinks by email and I can say I have proof of delivery

However regarding a twitter followers item I sold from Germany I got this message from paypal:

You have received a payment that we believe may not have been authorised by
the PayPal account holder. Here are the details of the transaction we are
investigating:

Now Paypal wants me to prove shipment by inputting the tracking number etc......

How can I protect myself against such claims in future,

To be on the safe side I refunded the transaction , losing money

FOr such transactions, how I can prove that it was shipped

Regards

Is there a slot to manually input shipping details? Like other options? I know when it comes to shipping there is many things that arent shipped such as email delivery like you mentioned, or even local pick up... look for a place to manually describe the 'shipping'.

Btw if you recieved a payment that paypal is investigating, most likely its a fraudulent payment and you could have been gypt anyway, so good call not providing the service this time. If you want you can message the customer and tell them to send you the money as a service, but do it to his email address if you have it. Good luck

As above
The message you recieved from paypal usually means there is a problem with the buyer , not you .
If your worried over shipping etc mail them a reciept and get them to sign for it.
Ergo : tracking details

This twitter followers item is not shipped at all, for example, the buyer had 100 followers and he buys 2000 followers, therefore I just increase his followers to 2100. There is no shipping it is a service, how do I explain this to paypal

this is an issue with selling digital goods.

You could try and prevent this by sending empty envelopes with tracking info, but that gets costly. If you tell paypal you sold a digital good, they'll say "oh, well, you're not really at a loss, so we're issuing a refund"

Trust me.... just chalk this up to the cost of doing business and move on.

To me shipment still falls under local pick up or email deliviery.... you email them or mail them the status report of all the fans and services you provided as proof... just word it in a way to make it work for you

that doesn't work for digital goods, unfortunately.
