Help Needed - Hosting Solution for Small Web Agency

Hey Guys,

I need help in choosing the appropriate hosting services and provider for my situation.

I run a small web agency and I host some clients' websites. I am located in Montreal, Canada but the target audience for half of the sites is in the US.

I host about 20 sites. 18 of which are Wordpress. 2 of which are PHP platforms. Most of them don't get much traffic (less than 100 per day). The biggest one gets about 13k pageviews/day and 9.4k visitors/day. Mostly images, no videos.

I am not a technical guy and I'd like to have it managed so that they can do updates, patches, security, etc. I also want to have 24/7 Live Chat support (and fast response to tickets) and cPanel/WHM for my lack of technical knowledge.

I usually install CloudFlare so I'd like it if it was already integrated and as a partner.

I have a Max Budget of approximately 100$ per month.

I've looked at several options and did a lot of research online and I'm not sure the type of plan I should get between:

• Cloud VPS
• WordPress Hosting
• Semi-Dedicated Server
• Dedicated (although I think that's an overkill and it would out of my budget)

On the providers, a lot of people are suggesting Rackspace and Digital Ocean, but is it good for WordPress and simple to use for a non techie?

Bluehost could be a good solution for support and simple to use but it seems a bit more expensive than other providers.

Cloudflare recommends Vexxhost but I had never heard of them so I'm not sold on the idea of a smaller company.

So I have 2 questions:

1) What type of server would you recommend?

2) Which specs would you recommend?

3) Which company would you go with?

A VPS with 2-4GB RAM will be enough to run your site. Since all your images will be mostly served by CloudFlare, you may not need much of a bandwidth either.

You may try a VPS from hostsailor.com or venetx.com, they have high uptime and their servers are supported well by the team of skillful technicians.

If you want something bigger than that you should go for a Dedicated. We don't have that but there are plenty of companies offering them. Don't go with Hostgator, though.
