[HELP NEEDED] Google search drops to zero

I've had a similar experience with some of my websites traffic drops more than 70%

Not sure I'd be overly alarmed just yet.. I'd give it a little time to see if things return to normal. Build new content in the meantime and give it a couple months to see what happens.

I don't think your backlinks has spoiled this much.. Wait for few days and take decision. Might be Google dance and I pray to save your effort..

It seems your website has been penalized by Google.
Did you find out some problem reported in GSC "Manual Actions"?
I have experienced such ranking and traffic drop one time, about 2 years ago, no signals there in GSC.
I couldn't find any solution, and a month later while not doing anything, the site recovered it's ranking.

Nothing in manual actions. Thats the first thing I checked

In the past, I had also nothing in GSC. ( But I actually had done some blackhat tech... )
I want to ask you - Is your traffic from 3 or more pages' organic search?
If yes, it might be Google penalty.

disavowing might work, but I'd wait a few weeks before doing anything cause Google has been going through lots of changes over the last 2 months, and this might be something on their end.

Also, don't believe when people tell you that all backlinking services on BHW are bad. I've seen good services, too, but they are usually expensive.

Anyway, give it 2-3 weeks and if nothing happens try disavowing the bad links (if you know which they are), and at the same time continue posting content on your site and building safer backlinks (guest posts mainly but try to find sites with organic traffic and low OBLs. It will be costly but if you get even 1-2 such backlinks per month for a few months while still continuing to post content it might save your website)

I saw rise in traffic yesterday in two of my sites. Seems like an update has been rolled recently!

I suggest you leave it for a couple of weeks and see if it recovers, if there's no improvement, then you better move all the content onto a new domain.

I am not sure what you mean. My traffic consists of more than 3 pages yes.

disavowing might work
Someone previously on this thread mentioned that disvowing is the worst thing I can do... is there a certain scenario where it is and a scenario where it isn't? I am a tiny bit confused..

Ugh, I'll admit that I haven't used disavowing in years, so I'm not sure how much effective it is today. But if everything else fails you should still give it a try. At worst it will reduce the chance for a manual penalty on your site, according to SEW: https://www.searchenginewatch.com/2021/01/06/should-you-use-googles-updated-disavow-links-tool/

You should wait a few weeks, however before doing anything because your site's traffic drop might be google's algo change.

The POSSIBLE reason I think could be some backlinks I bought from BHW. So my question is does that also affect pages that weren't used for backlink purchases?

I am trying to narrow down what has caused this and I am lost in the fog... If anyone has any feedback it will be greatly appreciated.
any manual action in GSC? If not, wait a little bit about a week, and see what happens.

My suggestions will be do a quick audit in console by comparing 7 days with past 7 days. Figured out which pages have been impact and for which keywords. You will get to know that by comparing. If these are the same keywords and pages for which you bought the backlinks then check the links again and if suspicious then disavow them.

In the meantime go for social signals like facebook, pinterest, reddit and twitter. Don't just seat there and watch it, you will regret it later.

Thanks all for the feedback.
I will wait a while and see what happens

Looks like it just got whipped.
Disavow those links and wait for a while.
Give it a month. What kind of links had you bought?

What links did you purchase? Could be a "Google Dance ™"

I would create a new site, but leave this one as is. It could get a boost again in a future Google update, you never know.
