I am so gutted, something happened in the last few days that heaps of my top pages and keywords vanish overnight.
My search results practically dropped down to zero except for like one page.

The POSSIBLE reason I think could be some backlinks I bought from BHW. So my question is does that also affect pages that weren't used for backlink purchases?

I am trying to narrow down what has caused this and I am lost in the fog... If anyone has any feedback it will be greatly appreciated.

I also checked manual actions and there weren't any..

"could be some backlinks I bought from BHW" - Bingo

First rule of IM - don't buy backlinks from an open forum.

You can only pray that is a G dance but judging from that dip I highly doubt it

Thanks for your feedback. Kind of confirms my thinking - lesson learnt.
Moving forward, what would be the next steps if I want to save this website?
This will be first time I try to 'save' a website from a hole, don't even know where to get started.

Damn, that site looks burned.

Yea... I am trying to save it but spent ages trying to find some guides with no luck.
Want to do something as opposed to just abandoning it... a lot of efforts has gone into this.

Leave it like that 3-6 months....if nothing change for the better in this period start over...if you see some improvements start building slow HQ backlinks and content.

Does disvowing links work?

Quick question - when something like this happens, does it usually have a chance or most likely not have a chance, or is it hard to say?

The best option would be to move to a new domain in my opinion and make a non direct redirect to new domain.
It'll be messy, take a long time and you'll lose a lot of traffic in the process but something is better than nothing

You need not to worry it will be back to normal just a wait for few days.

Look like google search ranking algorithm update, just wait for a week
