Help Needed From Domain Experts

I really want this domain. However I dont want to backorder it. How likely is it that I can manually order it and when will it drop.

was about to post the same question. There's that domain I'm interested in which was ''pending delete'' yesterday. Check a couple drop catching sites and it had no bids a couple hours before closure time. Checked this morning still no bids after closure time so it seems nobodys interested in this site. cool. On main registrars the domain name still shows as ''taken'' and I noticed the whois changed, been updated today and now belongs to ENOM or something. status LOCKED (this domain does have backlinks, but nothing steller)

If you really want the domain then do not let it drop.

Beyond just having the main drop-catching services that you and Joe Blow can sign up for there are people who have their own software trying to catch names. Your name may or may not have been seen by someone else already. The second point is that numerous times I have made lists of domains that I see are dropping, WITHOUT BACKORDERS, and when I see their availability later 50% have already been reg'd, so in essence someone could do the exact same thing you are doing but beat you to the punch.

If I was you I would wait until the last minute on Namejet and backorder the domain and pay the $69, thats if you really want it, anything you really want you wouldnt let drop.

One last thing if you take my advice, set an alarm to remind you to log onto namejet and place the bid with 10-15 minutes to go.

sunday lunch pretty much nailed it. If the domain has any pr/backlinks, someone will be after it. Even if nobody has backordered it, theres a decent chance it will be snagged by someone else after the drop

Namejet is recommended for this stuff? I've been researching this week as there's a domain I want due to expire April next year. From what I've learned so far backordering on GoDaddy is a waste of time.

Namejet hat not one single good domain sucessfully backordered for me.

Snapnames/Pool/GD

Since the domain is already in redemption period, it's too late to order it pre-release on Namejet (pre-release is better because it keeps the original registration date, you should always go for pre-release if the name is expired on Enom, NetSol, or Register.com).

If it's an obscure domain with no obvious value to anyone else, there's a chance you could pick it up for reg-fee when it drops next week. If *anyone* else is interested, then there will be orders in at Namejet, Snapnames, Godaddy, Pool and possibly the private drop catchers. You should order it at all four to cover your bases.

I recently let a domain expire past the renewal date and I was wondering if the backorder would guarantee that I get the domain if it drops. I still am not clear on this since if I pay the backorder fee does that mean that if I don't get the domain the fee is refunded?

Are you saying that we need to pay multiple backorder fees at multiple registrars in order to cover our bases? That seems like a lot of money to me
