Hi BHW,

I have a deal set up for $2,700 and the guy who I am selling my social media account to wants to use Escrow dot social. However, I have no experience as a buyer or seller on this platform (I am a seller in this circumstance) and am curious about the aspect where the buyer can choose to accept or decline the merchandise. Could someone just say the "merchandise" is fraudulent resulting in me losing out on both the account and the money? Would I have to rely on his good nature?? Would PayPal goods and services be better?

All advice is appreciated as I have never used Escrow and I don't want to be slow so this falls through

Thanks

Also if it means anything, I plan to provide the original email and password as well in the deal

Don't use paypal! specially for a 2k transaction because what if he asks for refund. Yes use escrow

PayPal's goods and services isn't always reliable and they swiftly can ask for a refund, which means escrow is more reliable than PayPal in sense.

Have you used escrow before?? Also, I guess I'd agree that a middleman is the safest alternative via Escrow, but both services seem quite buyer friendly in terms of lenience.

i have used escrow.com before, it is great, they pay within 48 hours after deal is finalized.

okay good to know. my thing to you is for the transfer of a social media account, correct me if i am wrong
buyer sends money then seller provides username/passwords then buyer reviews information then chooses to accept or decline if fradulent.

Because i saw something that if the buyer says the info for the account is fraudulent, the process is reversed meaning the seller would be able to see if any passwords were changed

Also would it be fine if I provided the email and password to that email in the transfer or would this put me at risk if they put in a recovery email/phone number
