Would anyone know how to block bot traffic from my site. Google adsense has deducted a huge chunk of my April revenue, siting Invalid traffic. My account wasn't restricted or disabled. What i would like to do is monitor my traffic, i've actually turned off google adsense and not going back anytime soon. I will be moving on to an ad network. 51k users, 65k sessions and all i received from google was $1.34. 90% of my crowd is USA based, and no, i'm not in a low income niche. Before i apply to ad agencies, i would like to spend a week or two monitoring my traffic sources and quality. Would anyone have any suggestions how i can lock or filter off bot traffic if there is any on my sight. Or could this just be a google shake down ? either way, bot sabotage is a real thing.

Hope you guys can help

A quick google search showed me that including a robots.txt file can prevent good bots from visiting your website but not malicious bots.

However, I recommend hiring someone who already knows to block both the good and bad bot traffic as it's not an easy job.

thanks mate. my online search has me chasing my own tail. What keywords would you suggest, or any tutorial platform you recommend ?

You can either install a plugin "Blackhole for bad bots" or add Google captcha v3
