Hello bh

I have a wp site that has ranked pretty well in the past but my server got some 402 errors for 3-4 days and search results dropped.
Everythings fixed now and i got back some of my traffic.
I promote an offer from a non wp page in this domain
I created a new landing page witch is better that the current and my question is:

Should i replace the old landing page?
Should i register new domain and redirect the old page to the new domain?
Should i have 2 landing pages?
Should i put the page in another wp site i have?

I was thinking about buying a new domain and redirect only the page(not all wp site) to the new domain.will this help?

Imm088,

I'm not exactly sure what goal you are trying to accomplish here. Are you looking for more traffic? Ideally you just want to have one good landing page for something you are trying to promote. If you are already getting steady natural traffic from the old landing page, then by all means, redirect it. If the only reason you are getting traffic to the old page is because of an ad or some other paid method, then you would be alright just using the URL for the new page as the destination for the ad.

Best,

Shawn

Hey ContentAuthority

I have a mix of google searches and some shity and good backlinks to that page i also use adwords thats why i created new page cause i want to know where the sales come from.

Imm088,

Yes it can become difficult to track conversions when access to the page is granted from other locations. I have found it a good best practice to exclude traffic from other areas of the web when tracking the progress of landing pages. For instance if you are tracking the success of an adwords campaign, its best to exclude the landing page from search using a robots file, don't link to it from anywhere else and don't make inbound links to it from your main website.

Best,

Shawn
