Hi guys, I've been reading the forums on/off for the past few days trying to get some ideas. So far so good. I'm "blasting" web-sites, posting articles, using business directories, high PR forum posts and social media.. so far.

I wanted some input on a blogging campaign. Here's my situation.

I have a legit business that I run that is not online based, but I do need the internet to market obviously. So I have about 7-8 keywords that I want to at least be on the first page for my-main-site

Using the above techniques I'm assuming eventually If I keep at it I can accomplish my goals for each keyword. So I can run a campaign for Keyword A linking to my-main-site and then keyword B linking to my-main-site, etc.

My question is how can i use multiple wordpress blogs to my advantage? What tactics do you guys employ to send links over to your MAIN Site.
Keep in mind I don't want to generate ad revenue from my site, just legit traffic from consumers.

Should I create a "silo" blog site for each one of my keywords specifically and then send backlinks over to my-main-site?

If I was selling candy should I start a candy blog and start spinning articles about candies and then link them over to my-main-site?

Thanks guys.. Sorry for all the questions

I think what you're asking about is using "micro-blogs" to create more link juice? Some link building services use this tactic through their tiers of link pushing.

In the last part, you said "If I was selling candy should I start a candy blog and start spinning articles about candies and then link them over to my-main-site?"

You should be spinning articles and submitting them to web2.0's, etc and blasting those articles.

If you're looking to build up traffic for your business then you should only have ONE site. If you spread it across different sites then you'll possibly end up confusing potential buyers, ESPECIALLY if they end up hitting two or more of your sites, as you say you'd be interlinking them.

So what I'd do is build ONE site like yourmainkeyword.com and post some articles that are optimized for that like this:
    yourmainkeyword.com/your-main-keyword-1
    yourmainkeyword.com/your-main-keyword-2
    yourmainkeyword.com/your-main-keyword-3

Once you've done that you should focus on your secondary keywords and do something like:

    yourmainkeyword.com/your-secondary-keyword-1
    yourmainkeyword.com/your-third-keyword-1
    yourmainkeyword.com/your-fourth-keyword-1

and so on. Should you have additional info to share on each keyword then simply add more pages/articles/posts to the site, so you can always do this:

    yourmainkeyword.com/your-secondary-keyword-2
    yourmainkeyword.com/your-third-keyword-2
    yourmainkeyword.com/your-third-keyword-3

    and so on.

Once you've done all this THEN you can start focusing on backlinking all your INNER pages, i.e. each individual page focusing on one single article. Use that page's keyword as anchor text.

    Hope this helps.
