Help me understand my competition...

so here's one of my competitors domains, he has only 9 RD's none of his links are that strong, even the high DR links are not contextual and have high OBL.

yet my domain has more links... stronger links, but a lower DR an

does your competitor get more traffic than you too? how old is your domain vs. your competitors?

mine's quite new, so my traffic is just fb ad's at the moment, and the occasional organic, but I was under the impression ahrefs DR was determined by backlink profile only? maybe that's where I'm wrong?

I have not read exactly how they calculate their metrics, but I am almost certain that amount of ranking keywords are in the equation as well. And a new domain doesn't rank for much, yet.

If you have a better link profile - then it's only a matter of time before you will have a higher DR than him.

Probably just need to give it some time then. How old is your domain?
