Help me understand if this keyword + domain is worth a go

Ok, was searching for keywords with google keyword tool and found a keyword with 165,000 searches in sept.
it's actually keywords, not keyword and it's similiar to this:
"vacation swim". now, the domain for both vacation-swim.tld and vacactionswim.tld are available. all of the top ten ranking sites are ranked with internal sites. there's more than enough adwords advertisers to make money here.

So, am I missing something here or could this be a profitable site if done right?

Some times the google keyword tool isnt correct.

I saw a term getting 6000 searches a day, purchased the keyword domain, ranked 3rd, only get 20 hits a day lol...

But by all means if you think its easy rank for it, but do research on the competitor sites before spending big money on this term.

Ok - u can benefit from my effort

1: Firstly Google inflates the vol exponentially - and even Araon says that in his book
2: The keyprhase [vacation swim] and [swim vacation] in Word Tracker has Zero results. That means no one is searching by just that keyphrase.
Means - only long tails qualify that term -- say you can have I want to enjoy swim in manila vacation

The good news is for intitle:swim vacation inanchor:swim vacation the -SERP for 521,000. Which means less competition and you can rank if you build backlinks.

The sites you are competing with for this keyword - though have high DA( domain age ) have relatively less PR in them.

To sum up - I would say, the search volume is low & also the competition is low ( dont trust G completely ) - thats make it ok . If you think the keyword makes good business relevance - you can experiment.

just to clear up, the keywords isn't "swim vacaction", that was just an example also, the word is in norwegian, so can't use wordtracker etc to check.
