Hey guys... real new to the new SEO game. I think I used to be a little good at this stuff about 7 years ago, but since that's the last time I touched any of it, I am a little rusty.

I am really trying to wrap my head around linkbuilding. I signed up for "link pushing" and I think that technique sounds good, but I am confused about what they consider to be "Web 2.0 links". All of their supposed "web 2.0 links" seem to be blogs?

Anyway.... I have a lot of article links right now and i am wondering if I should maybe push those links with dripable or a similar service? If so, do you just use the same anchor text you're going after to point the forum profile, blog post, etc to the article?

Sorry for the ignorance... this all seems so new to me again.

The results below were gained for some older sites I run using just various fiverr gigs. Link wheels, blog comments, etc. I just don't have a lot of faith that these things will "stick" and want to make sure i'm doing what I need to do to secure these links I have out there.

    Thanks in advance!

Keep your first tier links from reasonable quality sources and don't use spammy/crap content. AMR for articles is always a good start.

Use Dripable etc to build 2nd tier links into them. Anchor text MUST be varied - or you'll hit problems. I use around 25% as a guide for keyword anchors, 25% for URL anchors (wherever they're pointing - as that makes sense to Google) and the remaining 50% on random 'click here' terms etc. (I have a spun list of about 300 variations.) SO...

{Keyword|URL|Click here|Check This Out} as an example - but don't use that - it'#s just a indicator for you. Always use several/lots of keyword combinations with suffixes/prefixes/modifiers too. URL anchors are important and should be the URL of where the 1st tier link is - not YOUR money-site URL. That way an article on XYZArticles.com has an anchor of 'XYZArticles' - not 'DietSecrets.com' - or whatever your URL is. That way Google sees it as natural inbound 'brand' link to the site.

I don't think keywords matter nearly as much on 2nd/3rd tier links.

On 1st tier links, I go slightly higher and use 30-50% as keywords - but I use a LOT of variations - often hundreds.
