Hi guys,
I'm sort of new to this forum
but i came here with a very serious problem
My friends phone was stolen just before the crossover at about 11:03pm
i have tried all within my power to track down the phone to no avail
i came here hoping there would be some sort of remedy for it
Maybe a script or some help would really go a long way
Thanks

If your mobile is stolen! You can Contact the police

File a police report and provide the IMEI number of your phone. The police may be able to track your phone or recover it without a warrant.

Next,
Block your phone
Use your phone's built-in tracking feature to remotely lock your device or erase its data.

Block your SIM card
Contact your phone service provider to block your SIM card so the thief can't use it to call or text you.

Change your passwords
Update the passwords for your email, social media, banking, and other accounts linked to your phone.

Update your account information
If you have Stolen Device Protection turned on for an iPhone, you can use another trusted device to update your account information.

First what phone is that ? I meant model

What phone is it ? If it’s an iPhone and the « Find my » functionality is enabled, you can track it via icloud.com

see iCloud.com/find and google.com/android/find/
aside from these two things, highly unlikely you can do anything else.
remotely erasing the device if possible through those links is encouraged. depending on how old the stolen phone is and the security setup, may be possible for an attacker to bypass the lock screen.

Okay, then
you Use the Google Find My Device app
Download the app from the Play Store and sign in to the same Google account that's connected to your phone. Google will try to locate your phone and send an alert to it.

What does a thief do with a stolen phone? Typically sell it. Or destroy it if they cannot factory reset. Maybe give it to friend/family.
Check out FB marketplace or whatever is commonly used in your country to see if you can find the thief trying to make money from the sale.
