So earlier today I listed my laptop for sale on Craigslist. In an hour or so I got a text from a Los Angeles number, asking to buy my laptop. The person said they wanted the laptop shipped to their daughter who is on a "missionary trip" lol. Funny thing is he wants to pay via PayPal. Once he said PayPal, I knew it was a scam attempt, especially because he offered to pay an extra $100 for me to ship it. When I asked where he wanted me to ship it, he at first tried to avoid the question but after me asking for a 2nd time said West Africa.
So long story short, I got myself a scammer that's trying to scam me and I've so far acted totally oblivious to it because I want to teach this mofo a lesson. He asked for my PayPal e-mail and my full name, and is ready to send me the money. I was thinking about getting the money and somehow keeping it without having to refund it later, and just donate it to a charity.
Shoot me your ideas.
