Hi, everyone!
Lately (as in, over the last 2 days or so) I've been having flashes of some archers that I've seen in some movie once, but I can't remember which movie it was, or what those archers are called, and not being able to remember this is eating at me inside. Please, for the love of God, if someone knows what archers I'm talking about, please remind me the name of the movie in which I've seen this type of archers...
In the movie, there were (probably) 100s or 1000s of them, all of them perfectly aligned, I think they wore some dark-green tunic or something, but I'm not sure.... and they were having HUGE (as in long) bows that they were holding onto with their right hand, and the bows were almost as tall (or long, depending on how you look at it but in the movie the bows were standing upright, so in that regard they've been tall more than long) as the archers themselves....
The archers - if my flashback serves me well - were also wearing smoothly curved coifs with pointy tips bent backwards... something like this....
I've probably seen them in one of those fantasy / historic movies like The Great Wall, or LOTR, or something like that... but I didn't find any reference to them in google. It's true that I may have not used the right queries and that I've given up too easily, but you'd expect to find such uniquely looking archers in a heartbeat, not having to dig through obscure sources and forgotten pages to see a damn image of them and a few words of what they're called like, are they real or fantasy, and if they're real which era / nation / armies they belonged to.
Again, if anyone knows what I'm referring to please help me with some details as this random, totally useless thought is consuming most of my mental energy and focus, and I can't do shit anymore and I have a lot of things to go back to
