A client asks me to promote his youtube channel. He is making small bucks (10-15/day).

Kalack is right - most do get banned.
You'll be fine as long as you do it within the guidelines of Youtube.

The best way to drive traffic to a Youtube video or website is Pay-Per-Click advertising (very broad) and SEO.

The best way to promote and monetize this depends on what your client is selling.

or calling Bounce Marketing / bounce-seo

does the content is age restricted? (for verified 18+ youtube logged in users only)?
