From the UK, this crypto stuff is really confusing I don't even know what sites to use, thanks guys

Hey mate,
This is what I wrote to someone else that had similar question like you:

You can use blockchain.info wallet or exodus wallet.
You can use localbitcoins, exodus, .. to buy and transfer your bitcoin to your wallet.
Even you can transfer to coinbase wallet.
For now, just hold coins, BTC and LTC.
Learn, then buy more coins, especially alt coins (any coin other than BTC).
All the best.

Hey,
I would suggest buying Ethereum or Litecoin, this is because they have shown the biggest growth rate over the last year and are a lot faster than bitcoin! you can buy these coins through coinbase.com which I find the easiest to use, especially if your in the UK :) personally I have invested in Ether Litecoin Bitcoin and Iota but plan Iota!
For now, I would suggest getting these coins and holding for the years to come! If you want to learn a bit more there are some courses on recommondo.com/crypto-revolution/

Buy Bitcoin with it and leave it for few months. You will get good returns for sure based on how many months you waited.

I'm from the UK too, I use Coinbase to transfer my GBP into EUR on their exchange and then buy either BTC or ETH eith it. You can then transfer that to other exchanges for other coins if you wish.

What's the commissions you're paying pleae Shaunm ?

Been told Revolut is good to use to transfer funds into Coinbase. Someone else said to use Quickpenguin.net to buy/sell.

Also been told to look at Changelly they accept USD
Someone else said Binance.

If you interested in trading cryptos, you should start researching (youtube, blogs, forums) and start trading, as you can trade even with few $.
If you want to invest, good way would be to buy BTC and just leave them sitting ;)

But my suggestion is to dive in cryptos, start learning about them, start learning trading, read news, forums , participate in chats and forums, we are in very early time of cryptos, it's the future, you could earn a lot of money ;)

to those who are old in BTC mining, have you experience buying BTC example worth $150 USD after a few long months, $150 USD doubled twice and/OR you experience $150 USD has disappeared? either, please share
