Hi,

I am currently running an adult wordpress site. In terms of on site SEO, so far i have edited the page title, meta description and keywords. I was wondering is there anything else you guys recommend me doing that will boost my on site SEO or even some plugins that you guys think are good for SEO?

Thanks:)

Install Yoast seo Plugin or All in one seo plugin.

Also install xml sitemap plugin if you don't have already.

If you are writing an article on a post and not just showing videos I would suggest the Calais Auto tagger that recommends tags relevant to your article. Also make sure that the page title is also on the url of each post.

You can do profile linking, and or Social bookmarks. Along with on page and off page optimization will also help your ranking on the search engines. This should help.:)

Not only meta title/descriptions improves your SEO, Please concentrate on the following too
1. Reduce your website load time - Google page speed insights
2. Internal linking - Anchoring
3. H1, H2 and H3 titles - Rich text formatted content
4. Alternative tags setup
5. Optimized content (Keyword proximity, frequency, prominence & stuffing)
6. Redirections - Canonicalization - 404/403 error pages

I agree with Kevinmax. These are the main steps you should take. It will help you to improve your sites ranking in relatively short time and also will help you to increase your traffic.

I agree with this.. Do install the SEO Yoast plugin.. It will track the entire blog well and good.. It will be update all types of errors.. It monitors the number of unique visitors, traffic and so..

1. Install Unique theme..
2. Get links from the sites that have high traffic..
3. Get links from High PR Social bookmarking sites..
4. Do Guest Blogging..
5. Unique contents that should be updated weekly..
6. Add robot.txt & sitemap..
7. Remove all 404 error link..
8. check all 301 Redirections - Canonicalization - 404/403 error pages..[clear all the errors]
9. Add contents that should rise questions to the users..

Do install Yoast plugin.. And also webmaster tool helps you well in tracking the errors and so..It's a vague topic to discuss more and more..
Hope you got my point..

Check your content in G using site:yoursite.com and make sure that it is not indexing stuff like category pages, tags, author pages, thank you pages, etc as they add nothing to your sites ranking ability and G may see them as 'thin' content. 301 crap content or pump up your thin posts and pages with more content and 301 your content that is similar to other pages/posts. Also, make sure your home page and targeted posts have at least 1,000 words content on them (I guess that's difficult with an adult site!) as that always helps me in every niche I am in.

There are no plugins will make you rank in the first page, at first you must have got unique content (not copied from another site) after that care about backlinks.
