My 1.5 cents: I agree with the others on here, freelancing is probably the best way to go at first. It will give you a feel for what people are really looking for, and then you can build a business with other freelancers doing the work for you after a certain amount of time, using your existing customer base. Start with something scalable, do the work, and then...scale it.
