Been self employed for 5 years now, I thought getting laid off from work was gonna put me living in the streets. It didn't work out that way, one day while jogging my local park I decided I would stop giving out all of my computer software for free. So I went home and put up a free website, with that free website with absolutely no overhead or cost I was able to make $500 in my first week, selling my software for $10 per user. I raised my price to $20 per user and in that first 3 months I made $90,000. For first 2 - 3 years I never made less then 10k a month. It got to where if I made less then 10 - 15k a month I felt broke.
Fast forward 5 years and the software I was primarily selling slowed down. Now I'm looking for ways to make money and I've stumbled upon this website. I have plenty of money saved up but I don't like to spend my savings. It doesn't matter how much money I have saved up, if I haven't made money this week I feel broke and I eat live like a person in poverty.
Currently I'm working on a media player that I use my self. The user enters a Movie or TV show they want to watch and my program searches for it. Once found it automatically starts the video without the user having to do the footwork. Best part perhaps is having it auto play the next episode with again no work to the user. I think it will be a big hit, just not sure that it would be legal to sell. Either way I will need to come up with something, before I'm forced to get a 9 - 5 job like everyone else.
