recently I have a steady income thanks to BHW. not a main source...yet but good supplement income. Im also working full time ATM so been gettin money but lately im not motivated. its not that im not interested (far from it) its just that I feel like I need to rest but I have a goal in mind and until I hit it no time for rest. instead of working on my next campaign Im getting drunk bumpin Gucci Mane. How do you get yourself motivated when you know you got some IM work to do but dont feel like doing it?

If you dont keep working, something might go wrong and you may have to start from scratch and go back to the days when you had no money.

If the carrot isn't enough to motivate you, try the stick.

I am unmontivated too... I also searched for some other "real" jobs, but internet marketing is the only thing I can do. If it is to much, just have a break, reset your brain. It could be that you are burnt out a little. Do you have any other things to do then sitting in front of PC?

Usually it's not a matter of actually wanting to do the work, it's a matter of being overwhelmed by how much of it you still have to do. You're focusing on how long it's going to take, how much you still have to get done, how tired you are, whatever.

You need to focus on the very next things you can do and nothing else.

Work is always made up of individual steps. It could start with "turn on the computer". that's a single step that you can take, and by itself, does the thought of it bother you?

    Next: "open browser."

Single step. Is that so hard to do?

If you're anything like me, and a LOT of people are, the problem is trying to eat the entire elephant in your mind.

    Stop it.

Just say to yourself, "I'll just work for one minute. 60 lousy seconds, then if I still feel like quitting, I'll take a break."

If you can get yourself started you can usually put in a pretty good session. If you really want to stop after that 1 minute do it. But only for 5 minutes. Then start again.

Works for me; your mileage may vary.

Make a list of goals, break the big ones into smaller ones, accomplish one, mark it as done, track the results of your hard work, remind yourself how previous hard work is paying off now.

Think big, imagine what you will have in the future, think about the things you love that you will be able to do/get with your earnings. Stop planning and start doing. Again make a list of things you have done and the results from doing them.

Also take some time off (after hard work). Breathe and enjoy life, be positive.

Simple. Think of your strongest desire, maybe a sport car or sexy naked women, picture them inside your mind and tell yourself with emo "I'm coming to get you" x 20 times per day = Very strong motivation.

This has always been my problem. I visualize what it'll take to get the entire project finished and then am not motivated to get any done because it's a lot of work.

Instead focus on smaller goals and projects.

Spend $2000 on building several sites (buy some content, domains and link building stuff).

That will motivate you. Otherwise you will hate yourself for throwing away $2000 bucks.

Think about how much money you will have at the end of it, that alone should motivate you lol.

All these posts are great. I too got some love when I needed it. And BH is great.

Look focus on the fact that you joined a forum and it turned into money!!!! Thats amazing.....

If you are not feeling it atm then maybe its ok to rest. Sometimes our brains need to rest. It is at times when you fancy the xbox or the beer that your moments of inspiration come along. We need to rest our brain space and allow these ideas to come naturally to us.

When you have the notion that you WANT to be motivated then the universe will deliver that for you right at the time you need it. There is nothing wrong with taking a rest break...

Two men chopping a tree down:

Two men chopping down a tree were in a forest with the same tools. One furiously chopped away at the tree for hours until he was sweating. He noticed the other man sitting down having a beer.

When they both had finished at the same time the man said to the other man, "what the fuck?" "you were sat down and resting and you finished at the same time as me" "how does that work"

THe man calmly looked at the sweaty man and said. " I wasnt resting, I was sharpening my saw"

everyones advice has been great here.

this is what ive been doing pretty much. starting small again. ill work for about 20-30 mins and say thats all for today. basically building myself up again to those multiple hours sessions I was doing before I started slacking.
