Help me choose a domain registar

BAsically, I purchased couple of .de domains with page rank. I wanted to transfer it to my godaddy account only to realize that they charge money from transfer from another registrar. I decided to try namecheap and saw in one of their transfer tutorial vides that they do not accept .de transfered domains. Can someone suggest some other good domain registar which is popular, doesn't charge or charges less for domain transfer.

I am looking to resell the purchased domain so I don't want to go for less popular registrar that make the transfer process a heck lot of complicated. With godaddy and name cheap, transfer from one godaddy account to another godaddy account is just a few clicks away. Same with name cheap. So, I am looking for similar popular service so that I don't have transfer problems while reselling the domain.

if your looking at selling them i would just leave it with you you have it now. When you change registar you have to wait 60 days before you can move the domain again.

namecheap would be my pick if you have domains that are not .de
 
did you try name.com?

and yea if you are selling those, just sell those for less amount(minus your transfer fee from the amount you want to sell ) and let the buyer do the transfer.
 
internet.bs and namecheap is the way to go, godaddy steal your domains if you are a bad boy (just search in google "godaddy stealth my domain"), but if you are goint to sell them don't change registar, just push the domain to the buyer and forget about it.
 
Namecheap is my favorite. They include whois guard for free with each domain you buy.

Another option I am considering is domainmonster.com. Is this a reliable company? The Good thing I have noticed about the company is that they offer domain transfer from another registar to them for free.

About the 60 day hold period, is it applicable for internal transfers as well?

Let's say, I move a domain from another registrar to namecheap today. I understand that I have to wait for another 60 days to transfer the domain again to godaddy or any other registrar. But, do I have to wait for 60 days to transfer to another namecheap account holder also?

another vote for namecheap here, slowly moved all my domains away from godaddy. Namecheap has decent prices and a clean interface, not bloated and confusing like godaddy. They don't try to upsell every time you buy a domain either :)
