Help me build a newsletter

What should I use to build it?

Substack or any other free options.

My biggest problem is that I simply have no audience so I cant promote the newsletter as of yet due to this roadblock should I put it off till later when I do eventually build an audience?

The way I see successful launches is by first choosing your social media platform and being an authority to your prospects problems. The interactions/followers will tell you what they want to hear more about and with that you can create content that has it's target audience right out of the gate.

I've been using Ghost and trialling it out, I don't have a huge amount of followers / subscribers but the platform is quite nice.

I would use a wordpress or php script and connect into AWS for sending. It's basically free it's so cheap and you can use it via SMTP settings.
I would write each email personally and make the people feel like they are part of something special. As it grows, you can rehash old content
and spend less time on the writing itself.

Consider using Substack for a user-friendly newsletter setup. Since you lack an audience, focus on building one through social media or blogs first. Once you have an audience, launch the newsletter for better success. Be patient and persistent.
