[HELP] Looking for Ideas to monetize Blog

Hello,
I own a blog with about 20.000 monthly visits and 16.000 email subscribers, mostly from Latin America and Spain, organic via Google.
I tried affiliate marketing, but I cant seem to get it working. It looks like my visitors are really hesitant to spend money. The previous owner tried selling consulting, with little success.

The only monetization method that works as of now is Adsense PPC which results in about 50$/month.

Now I am thinking of CPA Content Locks, but I am unsure as I suppose this would hurt SERP rankings.

Any suggestions? Thank you!

Check your competitors how are they monetizing their posts
 
1. Check competitors how they if they monetize the traffic.
2. CPA Is good depending on your niche. And since the Adsense earnings are low, I don't think cpa will do much justice.
3. Research your market. If you managed to grab 16k emails out of that traffic, you are doing something good, and if a user is interested in the email list, they are most likely interested in a related product.
 
I am giving away a free niche related ebook as incentive for the email signups.

You are on the right path, fill it in with affiliate links, and try to make "pro version" that you can sell.
 
Maybe integrate a job offer system (easy with Wordpress) and make interested companies pay if your traffic is extremely niched and could convert well.
Also try to get some PAID guest posts from other freelancers and business owners who could share their blogs and services
 
Consider changing niches, you'd be surprised but the make up niche is killing it at the moment

Thanks, the job board is actually a pretty interesting idea! I will work on that. I recently added a point to the footer, next to the ebook giveaway(that gets about 10 email signups/day) a point "write for us" where I offer guest post submission for free, but so far no takers. Registered at prposting.com to offer paid guest posts, so far no luck. (my sites moz, ahref and majestic scores arent very good)

This is an 3 year old blog with over 150 articles, a little too late to change that :) But I will keep it for future projects in mind.
