[help] Keeping Anonymous on the Web

I'm looking to keep anonymous on the web. I have tried several tools in the past, but I am still not harnessing the technology completely.

I would like some help please.

Here are some tools I have accessible to me.

Hidemyass VPN (shitty tool, and public so I heard)
NVPN

NVPN has a Sock5, and I would like to have a "new" identity everytime I go online and use Firefox.

Can I get some help? I have been reading about Sock5 proxies vs HTTP proxies, and Sock5 is better, but why?

How do I get anonymous.

Do some research as to whether or not a VPN keeps logs of the traffic and whether or not they release your information.

I wouldn't trust HideMyAss because I, too, have heard that they give out sensitive information on their customers which completely defeats the purpose of a VPN altogether.
 
Private Internet Access can put you in another city that you would have to do manually. They just upgraded but I think they forgot.

Think there is a proxy FF addon thingy that switches proxies. Then you would have to find a good proxy provider.

I wouldn't sweat over it too much unless you like movies.

PS I think they know exactly who you are, only separated by the law.

All of the above combined should help, although be sure to remember that NO ONE is fully anonymous.
 
yeah, just use Tor,

I feel if you're really doing anything that you are THAT worried about security, you would know this by now, so you're probably fine.
 
If you really wanted to be anonymous you'd have to completely cut ties with everyone you are already talking to. Stop using this username, you need to start fresh.

Just starting to use a vpn or tor when your alias is already linked to your isn't going to keep you anonymous.

Next the best thing is to probably use rotating reverse socks proxies since these will just look like normal home connections vs an obvious vpn/tor.
