HELP! I've gotten 3 viruses in 3 Months!

Free softwares: One of the best combination is avast + comodo

I also have cracked malwarebytes now.. because recently my pc was infected with some kind of malware.. which steals my pass to cpanel and infected my 40+ sites.. had to fight with it for 2 days to clean everything..

Use Ubuntu Linux + common sense = no viruses.

You can do any IM taks on Linux. You will need a remote Windows VPS anyway. You run your IM softwares on the Windows VPS, everything else which you need works on Linux. Some programs which are compatible with Linux:

-web browser: Firefox, Chrome, Opera
-office: Libreoffice
-password manager: Lastpass
-remote desktop: Remmina remote desktop client
-file manager: Nautilus
-online backup: Dropbox, Wuala, Spideroak, Ubuntu One
-video player: Totem (the build-in video player, will pay any files)
-video converter: WinFF
-screenshots: Shutter
-instant messaging: Pidgin, aMSN, Skype
-time tracking: Time Doctor
-graphic editor: GIMP

Ubuntu has a similar user interface like Mac OS.
And the Software Center is very cool: it can install programs with one click, the update process is also automatic for all your programs at once. And your user password can automatically encrypt your whole home directory content.

Im running avast and it appears ive picked up some virus'es as well. I run nohandsseo at home and well...yeah. It jumps up a ton, normally just the garbage you will get on websites...cookies and so forth.

Theres an option to shutdown the pc and allow it to boot and scan. I saw a bunch come up but this was only for the few mins I was watching and it looked like it was all cookies left over in ie.

I think avast is pretty good too....perhaps there is something better but im slamming sites all day. I dont think you can catch them all.

Go on ebay and pay like $30 for the full version of internet security with Nortan. Dont go with free stuff, it`ll miss almost vital components. "Hence FREE"

I use AVG Free and SpyBot. There is paid versions of AVG as well, and SpyBot is donation-supported.
