[HELP] is this possible IVR Machine & Telephone Wizardry?!

Hello there, a client of mine is attempting to do something quite crazy.

He wants to be able to call a specific number here in the UK (a supplier) with an IVR machine, iPhone/Android etc ,

The process is this...

1. Call a number, dial 1, 2 then enter a uk phone number
2. The response that comes back could either be , Business or Personal and its a womans voice saying this (totally automated)
3. He then wants the dialler to recognise if the woman said business or personal, then log it against the number in a database

I guess my question is, IS this possible?! and if so, how ...

Hey Bonzo90,

Yes this is possible. You need to implement a dialing system with DTMF and Speech To Text transcription which would then sync up on the back end to create that database of calling records + the response you requested. It's a completely custom solution for sure and you could get it developed on Asterisk.
