Well, yeah i don't have to do that in order to know my website will load faster if i get rid off 70% of my plugins.
But i would like to know...Are you running your websites on a shared hosting plan?

one dedicated server and one shared hosting through namecheap .. .both rock solid speed scores ... in particular first byte
