I posted this yesterday in the White Hat SEO forum, but it might be more fitting in there.
In August 2020 I started putting in a lot of work to increase my SERP. My website's AHREFS DR is currently at 7, starting at 2 in August. The website was registered in 2015.
My question is: isn't that a really low score over a period of 8 months of concentrated effort?
I've attached a screenshot from AHREFS showing my current analysis.
Below is a run-down of what I've done...
August 2020 - October 2020:
I bought a monthly SEO - Package deal on Blackhatworld, including:
Tier 1
- 36 blog posts (24 - 34 DA)
- 24 web 2.0 submissions
- 90 article submissions
- 15 EDU links
- 60 bookmarks
- 90 profiles
- 1 Tumblr blog post
- 1 Weebly site
Tier 2
- 10 bookmarks to Tumblr post and 10 to Weebly
- 240 bookmarks to Tier 1 posts above
Social Media
- 60 shares across Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Pinterest, Stumbleupon and more
November 2020 - March 2021:
A lot of the links I received from the deal above were rated poorly and dropped off quickly, so I changed to a member recommended Blackhatworld provider. In 4 months I received:
- 12 DA 40-45+ guest posts
- Also hundreds of diversity links published (Tier 1: Web 2.0, blogging, article submissions, infographics, press releases, edu links, ppt submissions, and tier 2 links to tier 1)
From November 2020 - March 2021 I did this in-house:
- Researched competitor linkbacks and got linkbacks from some of their highest DR backlinks (maybe 40 - 50 total)
- Setup profiles with linkbacks from niche related websites (directories mostly) and business directories (crunchbase etc.)
- Posted articles on various high DR blogger sites (30-ish) with 800+ words, images and videos
- Published websites/articles on Wix and similar template websites (15-ish)
- Posted an article on Entrepreneur with ******** linkback
- Published about 20 high-quality 1500+ word articles on my own website since October 2020
- Published every blog post from my own website on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
- Added pages and sections on our website with relevant keywords
- Besides Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, I also have profiles on the major sites such as YouTube, Yelp, BBB, Behance etc.
