Hi Cool hat world people!

I got a small eCom store. It didn't take long to study about keywords and content writing. I started writing things up and posting. I started gaining some traffic. I was happy with that amount and the eCommerce site owner literary 18 kms away from my store is copying my content. I was really satisfied with the research part and the content writing until this day.

What are the things I can do? I can either let him know that it's not cool as we both live in the same soil.

It's alright if he could just copy an article or two. But it's not cool do copy ALL OF THEM right? :/

What do you guys think I should do?

1. if he is copying word to word, then you can file dmca notice https://support.google.com/legal/troubleshooter/1114905?hl=en
This will remove his site from Google.

2. If he is rephrasing your content, the your only solution is to build backlinks to your site so that its authority can increase and eventually your competitor site cant compete with yoru site

very interested to know if he has done a word by word copy and if so, did you notice any negative impact on your ranking on those particular pages?

thanks

Get a lawyer, beat his ass while the content is still there. Ask for 10 months upfront damage & removal without court orders.

If you are in the same country you can take legal action.

If it was the US you can shoot when he comes close to your property. Yes i believe they are in the same country, so OP can definitely take legal action and that would be his best bet.

You can contact the hosting provider and lodge a complaint against the site where it hosted

Not yet. But I can expect something like that since he is creating more unique content along with my content now. Haven't noticed any visible evidence about it yet.

I would file a DMCA and force him to at least rewrite the content.
