HELP! I think I've got penalised by google!

I need help! I recently use some gig from seoclerks where guy offered to increase websites DA to 50+ in 7 days. Day after he delivered gig my rankings dropped from 1st and 2nd page on google SERP to 7th and 8th page!

I'm sure this guy did something shady but he is refusing to provide any report and claims that his service is legit and he has plenty of happy customers.

How to check and diagnose what he did? I want to find out and disavow bogus links if there are any.

Is this recoverable? I hope I didn't loose that website for good.

Can anyone help?

I will let you know if i can found that upwork seller id, have hired him before few months but lost my account but will try if i will get details from emails.
 
You have purchased links just for manipulating DA, which is clearly against search engine guide lines.

DA manipulation is conducted by acquiring low-quality links from spammy websites or link farms, which result in penalties or even deindexation of a website.

Conduct a link audit & find all that low quality links & disavow them.

To maintain good SEO practices, ensure that your website only has contextual links from high-quality sites.

Thanks. What is the best tool to find all the links?
 
You were just getting hit by the Google update. Calm down. Those bad links are not the issues here, at least for now.

Google update? So what happens now? What should I do? Is my website going to get back to previous positions?

he did trash redirects then beware seoclerks is scam site !

Use toolks like semrush or ahrefs to find backlinks that he did, only way DA is increased is by backlinks. Check what backlinks did he spam on your website

Great. How to identify what links are legit and which ones I should block?
 
my advice is if he provides logins to those links is u better remove em and get themm indexed so google will see they are removed most of those gigs are garbage
 
As of now many sites are getting affected, as per the industry experts it's all because of google update.

Wait for some time or take down the recent backlinks list from GSC and disavow the spammy links ( can be identified manually).
 
you thought increasing DA through shady means won’t have any consequences ?
 
i have faced same issue from daily 4k clciks from search to 20-50 clicks per day its starts happening after google spam update.
 
May be there is some irrelevant link profile that cause the action, short list back links with low DR and non relevant articles to disavow and hopefully you site will get recovered.
 
To be honest, those services (DA increase) are typically useless, and have no impact on ranking whatsoever (positive, or negative).

People buy such services to boost the stats of their blogs, and then sell links or guest posts on those blogs to people who are after links from high DA domains (which is again a complete lunacy and links from such domains won't help any website, yet the myth is still fueled, and the group of buyers is large).

What I try to say here is that what happened to your website has likely absolutely nothing to do with the service you ordered. Google Core update is underway, and it is a big one, with many sites affected (positively or negatively). Most likely you got hit by this update, due to poor content, lack of EEAT, AI use, or other reason.
 
It's possible that the gig you purchased on seoclerks may have utilized black hat SEO techniques to manipulate your website's domain authority, which could have resulted in a Google penalty for your website. That's a risk you run with this type of service.
