[Help] I am lost on which path to choose as a beginner

Hi guys, i am still finding my path to make a living through online.

I have read alot of amazing and inspirational story from our members and moderator in the journey thread.
It really inspired me too take actions but the more i read , the more i felt i am lacking lots of skills.
Some even need a huge investment on ads to get the business going.

I am 30 year old and kind of lost. I am working as an engineer and had a stable income. Deep down i know that
i cant waste any more time here in the factory and i need to do something about my life directions.
I hope i am not alone when it come to getting and choosing the right directions for your online journey.

I am tempted to take the short cut which is selling the fake gurus course online at the marketplace just to get a few bucks in life.

2 Questions to all my respected senior BHW members.

1) At some life do you felt lost at choosing which oppurtunity to jump into ? and how do you solve it ?
2) what do you think about selling fake gurus course just to make a bucks ? is it worth the risk in long term ? and what is the worst consequence.
3) Which online journey require not much of big dollar investment and have a good future if i persist long enough?

The most important thing I could say is to build long lasting online real-estate (mailing list, blog, YouTube channel, etc). This way you only have to spend money once and then you have free resources to market your products.

Find something that you are good at and make tons of great content about it. Focus on helping people. As your audience grows, ways to monetize it will become apparent. Since you have stable income already, just focus on the long run and doing everything (down to the smallest details) as good as possible.

The best business model to pursue (online or offline) has to revolve around something you obsess about and can get lost in. Otherwise, it'll be just an uphill battle with no real rewards. Do not fall for that guru BS as most of them are copying what 100 people have already said before and marketing them to newbies.

Freelancing requires 0-$100 investment and if you have any skill that's in demand, you can get started right away. It's not going to be easy finding your first few clients though, so be prepared for that.

1. I would jump into something I'm interested in and try to make it work.
2. Nope, nope, nope. Don't even think about it.
3. Try fiverr or seoclerks.

Hello, you are definitely not alone. I'm somewhat lost in the internet marketing world too but have recently gained some clarity in my head and hope to help (and get help )!

So you are wanting to do something about your life and online journey direction. A useful guide would be to envision what you see yourself doing when you are 60 and build towards that goal. First, I crossed out things I don't want to be doing. I don't want to be telling people that they've won an iPhone when I'm 60. I don't want to keep searching for a "winning" product when I'm 60. I don't want to be telling you to buy courses from fake gurus to be rich when I'm 60.

Don't get me wrong, running sweepstakes offers is a "cheap" way to learn media buying and I've hit $xxx days with it. Dropshipping is a "cheap" way to test products before building your own and developing a brand. Recommending useful courses/products is a great way form of affiliate marketing and you can gain a following from doing that as well.

What do I want to be doing when I'm 60? I want to be owning a portfolio of digital assets, I want to be buying undervalued assets, add value and either add them to my portfolio or flip them for cash. Why? Because I closed my eyes and envisioned myself doing that and it felt great and would sound great to the people around me as well.

How am I going to get there? There are so many opportunities out there right? How about starting with something that almost encompasses them all to gain the experience?An authority site that helps people with a problem via info articles with affiliate links to related info products, physical products, and CPA ads.

What niche? I'm still in the midst of finding one that I'd really be interested in for a start but an example would be first-time mothers who need a guide on baby products, need to lose weight, and deal with getting additional income from home or a 50yo with back pain, needs help with back-pain products, supplements, local chiropractors, etc. So on and so forth.

What skills do I need? Writing (practicing now), copywriting, SEO, data analysis, web development, graphic design, etc. They can all be outsourced but I'd do the non-technical stuff myself for starters to save on costs while testing waters.

Anyway, there is a long list of things I plan to do to achieve my eventual goal but the key for me in getting out of that "lost" state was to have a long term goal. You have a stable job and many years ahead of you and I'd take the time to think about yours and absorb enough information to develop a plan to reach your goals. Hope this helps.

Start a blog or youtube channel to do reviews. Saturated, but yet easy to handle and get started fast. Pick any niche you like, take pictures and videos (any medium range phone will do the job), some basic editing (can use free apps on your phone) and contact as many companies in the niche as you can. Even if they don't pay you at the beginning, you can at least get free products to resell, or free services.

If you dont have source of income then it will be highly suggested to get a day job. This will give you peace of mindvthat you have an income stream.

Online income is hard and starting is hardest.

I will not suggest you to scam other people, a wrong way always leads you to a perilish destination.

If you want to increase your knowledge about online income then you can spend 2-3 more days reading stuff here and on other platforms. But, just dont keep learning, learning without using it is waste of time.

You can do some freelancing work as per your experience of engineering. Upwork or related forum/fb group can be a good platform for the start.

The consequence is that there's no consequence. Real challenge lies in finding idiotic people to sell those course to. (May earn you bad karma alongside)

I'd advise you to develop on your skrill/passion and work with Upwork. You'll get to the point where all you'll need additional hands to deliver projects. Forget the guru course thing.

the first part I would call a FOMO - fear of missing out...no more answers.

Second part.
1. you just simply take any action and start working on any idea you have in your head, thats a rough start so START NOW
2. thats a very bad idea and wont last long, if ever
3. something you dont have to purchase, so digital products or selling your own skills. You said you are an engineer, is there something what you wanna teach the world about that? if Yes there are marketplaces where you cans ell your skills. if NO, just learn something new and then try to sell it.

You have already chosen the base path which is make money online, go with I will make money online. From here comes the hard part which is also crucial, it has to be something you are or will become passionate about. There is no shortcuts.

I give you example, lets say you want to build a blog and write about best marketing techniques and post affiliate links that will earn you commision.

Sounds simple but to make it happen you need to learn how to get a domain, hosting, optimized kws, seo, and shit load of other stuff. You can ofcourse pay someone else to do it but this is bad aproach. You have to do everything your self and learn every step of the ladder so you can implement each aspekt your self. This will help you understand how the internet works and even if you decide that blog is not it, you now know much more and probably have other ideas. Implementing and learning until you find the one idea you see potential in and enjoy doing, then stick to it.

Anyone that is succesfuly making money online didn't take short cuts and grinded many months or even years to get the result. Each is unique sort of. It has to be.

Don't overcomplicate it, choose an affiliate offer and make a few pager wordpress blog, then learn how to drive free traffic to it. You'll learn a lot, then make a second better blog which isn't a complete fuck up. This can be done from ~$40.

So don't be afraid to start something and if you fail don't give up.

Find cheap data entry gigs and do that to pocket few bucks. Those first few bucks can cover your hosting and domain or ad spend.
