[HELP] How to install HTML onto cPanel?

Can somebody explain to me how to install a lander page onto my HostGator cPanel?

I understand you have to upload something to the public directory file, but I'm not exactly sure how it works and I have no idea what type of phrase I should type in either into Google to explain how to do this.

If somebody understands what I'm saying I need, can you give me the steps or a relevant link please?

Youtube a filezilla tutorial that shows you how to use ftp. PM me if you still need help.

I already tried this, but I kind of need this in a "upload HTML for dummies" version :P

However, I appreciate this being the only actual response so thanks and +rep for you.
 
Yes, it is very simple to upload any given file via cPanel.

1) Log into cPanel
2) Click"File Manager"
3) Choose where you wish the file to be uploaded. IE root directory or a sub directory, where ever you want it placed.
4) Click "Upload" (Top Left / Middle)
5) Choose file
6) Compete

I already tried upload the .html file into the file folder of a sub directory but it didn't work, should I change the file name to something like index.html instead?
 
If you are struggling now, ain't much hope for you in IM.

I'm doing fine actually, thank you very much :)

I just happen to be a complete coding idiot and the simplest thing that involves web design as well is just completely beyond me is all.

Of course, I'm sure you're flawless in this field so all the power to you :)

I already tried this, I don't even know why I asked that above lol :PWhat I did (but didn't work for me) is that:1) Went into the sub folder of my domain (I wanted to put it onto an add-on domain onto my shared hosting) of the domain I wanted to put it on2) Public directory of that domain3) Uploaded the .html file and changed the file name into "index.html". I'm pretty sure I'm missing something but I'm not quite sure what...

Well, When I started out as a newbie to cPanel, HTML, CSS, JS all that stuff. I did not ask for help.

Test, Test, Test! Then you find the answers for yourself. Just use your brain :)

I suppose I'll figure it out eventually :P

I usually don't handle web coding or design whatsoever, this is one of those things that is just not my "thing".

I mean like I don't see what's wrong with it, everyone out-sources something they're not good at, right? :P
