Help! How to get Twitter API access?

I used several accounts and applied for Twitter API access, but I always get rejected. Do you have any hints or tips as to what I should write as a justification? I am trying to do this really badly, but it aint working out.

Use an old account. You should need some follow and followers. And write a good cover letter about why you want using their api.

If you want increase your success rate then tweet, retweet about software, techs. Introduce yourself as a software developer.

What are you trying to achieve via the API? There might be an alternative method that lets you mix your requests in with a larger API driven app...
