Hey BHW,


Running into a frustrating issue lately.


When I try to add a new admin to a Facebook Page, Facebook forces a WhatsApp code verification — even though I already have 2FA enabled with an authenticator app.


I’ve tried:


  • Using Business Manager to invite via email ✅ (sometimes works)
  • Removing WhatsApp number from the account ❌ (still prompts)
  • Using incognito and clean browser ❌
  • Logging out of WhatsApp during the process ❌

Still can’t consistently avoid the WhatsApp code screen.


Has anyone found a reliable way to bypass this?
Ideally, I’d prefer email or authenticator verification instead — not tied to WhatsApp at all.


Would appreciate any tips, tricks, or loopholes that are working in 2025
Willing to test suggestions and report back.

I just switch to Facebook mode on my phone and no need to enter WhatsApp code anymore. I have been using this method for a while now.
 
We’ve faced the same issue recently. The most consistent workaround for us is using Meta Business Suite on mobile with trusted device login. If 2FA via authenticator is already active, try removing the WhatsApp app from the device temporarily before assigning the admin.
 
1. Change browser / IP / proxy
Re-login with the original device that used to manage the Page

Use a proxy with the country address that matches the account (eg: VN account → VN proxy)

Or log in with a browser that has had a session of the Facebook account

fb keeps making u verify with whatsapp even if u got 2fa on authenticator. tried all hacks but no escape, gotta deal with whatsapp for now
 
I noticed if the email has admin rights on another BM it sometimes skips the WhatsApp step.
 
We need to follow fb's security rules. This is part of their security process to verify identity and prevent unauthorized access.

Facebook's been pushing WhatsApp verification harder lately, especially for page roles. One workaround some have had luck with: remove the WhatsApp connection from Business Suite > Settings > WhatsApp, then wait 24–48 hrs before adding admins again. Also, make sure the new admin’s profile is fully verified and has some activity/history. Still no guaranteed bypass yet, but this has worked for a few people I know.
 
Yeah, Facebook’s been forcing WhatsApp verification more often lately, super annoying.
Only semi-consistent workaround I’ve seen is using BM invite + new IP/browser + no WhatsApp linked.
 
Meta's been pushing WhatsApp verification hard lately, even with 2FA enabled.
No full bypass yet, but using a fresh device/browser + verified BM + trusted IP seems to reduce the prompts.
