HELP!! How To Add Meta Tag In Thesis 1.8.5

I have been trying ages to figure this out and no matter what I do it doesn't work

I need to embed the meta tag in the code of the main page of my site (in the head section)


I am using thesis 1.8.5

I have even tried installing a plugin which allows you to add stuff in the head but still it doesn't show up??

Its ok I managed to figure it out now its working.

cant you just put it in the header.php file?

Yeh but thesis is a bit different, its got options to put a script into the header and thats what I was doing but it wasnt getting detected, probably because of caching was on so I forgot about it and tried again and it worked.
