help! getting random fake followers everyday, the same time!

hey guys!
since last thursday, iv started to get each day in 17:00 gmt random followers - most of them fake or inactive. i dont understand why! i never purchased and following service only autrounds for like.
its driving me insane! iv tried to dm to some who i though active, and they said they had know idea and thay instagram is following users they dont even know.
i told them to check for 3rd party app in the browsers but it showed them nothing.
anyone else experienced it?
i really want it to stop

Have you report this to Instagram?

Are you getting any DMs with the followers like "hey I'm from blahblah company I gifted you blahblah followers check out our service to get more" ?

Don't know if this is the case, but I have heard of companies buying fake followers for their competitors to tank their engagement rate and reach

Damn, this is a good idea. Do they stay tho or can they just easily be removed?

you can report the fakes, but they're not that easy to get rid of usually. it especially devastating on insta and FB where there are algorithmic feeds. it's a pretty nasty thing to do tho, but i don't judge

You can always report them on Instagram and yes, unfortunately, some competitors do dirty tricks for you to be ranked lower. Deleting those fake accounts can be tiresome because you can't get rid of them easily. They will always come back.
