I'm looking for anyone that can help get PR and backlinks into Australian publications mainly:
startupsmart
smh (sydney morning herald and any other Fairfax publication)
lifehacker

Or any other Australian news service.

One of the best ways you can get a backlink from high authority media sources is to become an expert resource.

How do you do that?

First of all, a lot of Australian reporters, I'm sure, have Twitter accounts.

Pay attention to the types of stories certain reporters focus on.

If they tend to touch on niches that you cover, you might want to reach out to them and engage them.

Send them all sorts of resources that they might want to use.

These resources, of course, must not be your website.

Try to gain credibility with them.

Once you've established some level of authority with them, then you can take it to the next level and ask them to interview you or use you as a resource regarding certain topics that have something to do with the niches that you cover.

Does this take quite a bit of time?

It can.

It all depends on how you sell yourself and it all depends on how quick you implement.

That's the bottom line.
