    Greetings to all!

    Is there anybody out there with a Flippa account? I've created mine today and have found a perfect website for $1+$5 expenses. The bad news is that I can't seem to get my phone verified (not by my fault, it's theirs). I've submitted a support request at Flippa (Request 11252), but I'm afraid they won't correct their problem before the website auction ends. That's my luck...

    Would someone please be so kind as to help me as a man-in-the-middle? PM me please

    Thank you in advance!
    A.I.

    PM the owner of the site you want to buy and explain the situtation.

    Email support too - check their opening times on there (they are based in Australia so if you are in the UK like me, expect to have a late night). They almost always reply within 2 hours though when they are awake :)

    Thanks for the quick replies everyone. 12 hours would be great, but a day would be too much because the auction ends in 21 hours.

    You said that you had experience with Flippa.. Will any one of you help me and place a bid? I would send you the before mentioned $6 immediately via PayPal.

    Wouldn't recommend doing that mate. You can't really trust people. Besides, if you really found a good site for 6 bucks I would buy the site myself instead.

    Jokes.

    Not sure why you cant verify your account - did you put the country code in? e.g. (44)7XXX XXXXXX for the UK?

    I can't PM the owner because I need to have my phone verified to send PMs :(

    Maybe I can trust some people here that have a "reputation" (post count, thanks count, VIP status etc.) like you http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/members/18383-meathead1234.html

    Not sure why the phone cannot be verified. I've entered the exact number with the country code and they just don't call me. I did it a few times in a row (with pauses) and the same thing kept happening until the interface said: "You have exceeded the maximum number of requests for the past 18 months. Please contact support if you believe this is a mistake." Bloody Flippa, one would think that they like making money...

    Flippa has some problems with phone verification. I tried giving them my cell number, but never got their call, so after about 1 hour or so, I submitted my land line number through the same form. Got their call in 2~3 minutes. Try it if you have a land line.

    Or check if they have a live-chat facility. I am not sure about this, never felt the need.

    Mistake number 1: confusing post count with trust. I'm sure there are 100s of members here with <10 posts who are perfectly trustworthy, and there are also loads of morons with >500 posts who you cant (see shitlist/usual noob thread)

    2: Jr VIP costs 99 bucks - so not too hard to get in ;)

    3: There are people who share warez all day long and have 1000s of thanks - so don't assume thanks = trust

    4: I could be anyone for all you know :)

    Joking apart, if you are still having issues, feel free to drop me a PM and I'd be happy to message the auction owner for you

    Cheers

    @srb888
    Thanks man, but I don't have a land line.. Anyhow, the number of attempts to enter the phone number is limited (I found that out the hard way). Sadly, they don't have a live chat support system.

    @meathead1234
    You are the greatest!

    @everyone
    Thank you for your help. The auction is closed (at least for me) the price is now $50. Admins please close/delete this thread
