[Help]Finding profitable niches/Checking a niche for demand and competition

So...I'm trying to find a way to look up for some profitable niches and checking if a niche that i want to choose have demand and have low competition.

Anyone here can post a recommended way?

Search China wholesale and browse product. I am always fond of buying at $0.25-$0.50 and selling for $15 with free shipping. Anything with a nice ratio of cost to revenue that is in a popular product category should do the trick as long as you don't spend too much in ad spend to get the sales.

People actually willing to buy an item that costs for you 0.5$ for 15?

While this is a good advice it doesn't really answers my original question :/

Your original question is loaded by the word "profitable". So I told you how to be profitable and you can figure out the keywords to use from there. :-)

Actually i want to open up am ecommerce store and i want to find a good niche

Maybe i'll simplify my question.
What are good sources to finding a profitable niche and how can i research its demand,competition and best keywords?
 
Figure out what you can afford to sell and promote... keywords come easy after that.

You are pretty much choosing from what you can afford to buy wholesale... Keep in mind that filling an online store with 50 SKUs of $0.25 pendants from china will probably cost $500-$1000 all told... the start-up cost isn't zero. Your budget will limit or expand your choices quite a bit.

For example, if you wanted to sell purses then the per unit cost goes sharply up so you need a budget of $5000-$10000 to stock 50 SKUs in a store.

See...your budget effects what you can choose from to fill the online store. You can't have a store with 1 SKU and you need multiple units of each SKU to keep making sales.

You are welcome! We'll have to agree to disagree on that. :-) You can't just declare a niche as profitable (or look for profitable niches)... it starts with your finances, moves on to your costs, and ends with your margins. I think maybe the question you are trying to ask is about finding high traffic with low competition niches? Which I know less about, but that's not where profit comes from. Those are opportunities that may not be profitable at all. So if you are looking for "profitable" you are starting from the wrong end.
 
I think the first thing to consider before choosing a niche is your interest and passion, just to make sure that you have a sufficient knowledge for that. Then follow with the resources and then the profitability factor of this niche. Best of luck man.
 
you need to read lot if you are not willing to spend some money on keyword tool
 
A keyword tool for ex: Google Keyword Planner will help you research with your keyword ideas. For instance I searched for a keyword such as "Hand Blender" It displays the Search Volume it had for the last month, the competition being High, low or Medium. It also gives you the ability to filter it according to Geo, even as per States or cities. It can give you other relevant keyword ideas, Negative keywords (error specific most of the time) and all the stats are shared by Google and its search partners.
I haven't used any other tool because I majorly emphasize on PPC and Display ads. You may need to check for other options if need be. Secondly, this tool is completely FREE!
You can signup with Google Adwords with your gmail id and access the Keyword Planner in the TOOLS tab

Check article directories and web2.0s for latest articles posted. You could use google to check posts published in the past week or month etc for platforms like ezinearticles, wordpress.com etc. Then see what niches people are targeting.
