Hi guys,

Recently, I registered a domain in december last year and have not touched it until january this year. After building the site, I ordered a 7,500 backlinks package for it from the LinkPanda thread on bhw, some profile links, edu links and some social bookmarks. After all this, I'm getting about 100 backlinks indexed a day.

The problem is, my whole site is indexed by google, even my robots.txt, sub pages and google webmaster code file. But my home page is not being indexed! Why is this so, and how do i fix it?

Thank you for your time.

google your domain.com

i'm sure its indexed, never have i seen subpages get indexed without TLD being indexed, although i have seen zero rankings for TLD but sub pages ranking much better

Thanks for your input. I googled site:mysite.com but no results were found for my home page, only sub-pages.

Same thing happened to me, 2 of my domains are not showing up in google but all the subpages are??

I think its a sandbox for sure because its been 2 months and my main domain will not rank both domain use to be on page one. I think this happened when I did an Xrumer Blast last month...

Anyone can offer any help on this? Is my domain sandboxed? Should I continue building links?

i think if your site has been sandboxed, you will not see the whole site even subpages.

never heard this case before...

Hi,

I noticed something similar on 2 of my websites, except that the domain homepage IS indexed, but it is not ranking in the top 1000.

I think it might be due to the stupid outsourcer I used on these 2 domains : this guy backlinked almost only with the same anchor text.

He didn't create that much backlinks but it can be a cause for the homepage link profile to look spammy.

I'll try to rank the inner pages and forgot the homepage for a while and see what will happen (there is quite some competition for the homepage keywords so it could also be a cause for not ranking but it's the first time i'm not in the top 50 after 1 month).

Cheers,

is there duplicate content in the homepage?

I'm not sure, how can i check? i hired someone to rewrite the content for my homepage from another website's homepage.

LOL this is so cheap and can get you into so much trouble, I hope you didn't pay more than $2 for this !!! ;)

To check duplicate you can use dupecop or copyscape.

Can't remember which one is free to check a URL (I have a payed account at copyscape).

PS : i'm having a similar problem but with first grade content (i'm indexed but not ranking)

Yah bro, I got a site that had its main index de-indexed also, with all of the posts and pages still indexed. It tripped me out, I went into webmaster tools, check it out.... fine, then went into the copyscape dup content finder, and nothing popped up that was significant.

When I was researching, I read an article on this guy that had the same issue, he was trying everything also to fix it at first, finally someone suggested that maybe he had multiple pages on his site that had the same content. I guess that little hint helped him cause the next post he put up said that his main URL is now back and indexed.

Got me thinking about the dup content on the WP platform that just happens by default. So I got that "Meta Robots" WP pi from yoast site. What this plugin does is adds a no-follow command to pages posts archives, author accounts, admin logins, that you designate and adds 301 redirects. I actually set it up yesterday, so I couldn't say if that is going to work.

I hope that will help both of us.
