Help chosing a domain name

Hello BHW, I want to open a website which is related with youtube.
I find good domain names but I don't know something.
Should get ytexampleDOTcom or youtubeexampleDOTcom ? Or both?
If both, which to use main and which to be a redirect.

u should go for a shorter one!

current studies show that EMD's are not as relevant as before so go with whatever floats your boat and just rank for the keywords you're after... but i do think it's gonna be rather hard for you to outrank youtube for a search query that has 'youtube' in it and doesn't get more than 2 exact searches a month

using two domains and re-directing to one is bad practice and will not do you any favours just stick to one catchy domain name and just build strong links to the one site..
