So I was just learning a bunch of things about seo

and noticed that blogs are much more easy to rank than sales pages

So my question is

Should I create a blog inside my sales websiste/ecomerce?

or

Should I create a diferent website for creating content and linking to my ecomerce?

I am interested in getting a response from someone who is more experienced in this as well.

I think that it's all a matter of organisation, if you can hire a writer or do it yourself, it's definitely great... But it's not mandatory as your primary objective is still ecommerce and not blogging... Personally I don't have a blog if I reach people via email already and try to build my list. Depends of the strategy you want to put in place, there is no right or wrong :)

I think in this case creating it in the sales website is better, your visitors won't drop out in some cases when you want them to reach your ecommerce/sales site.
Having a blog is important - long, informative articles are definitely rank higher. Google loves these contents.

Are sales pages product pages? Or are sales pages landing pages?

There is a difference

I did write something up for e-commerce product pages in order to rank them

Absolutely create a blog in your ecommerce site

Focus on topics buyers normally would be interested in - think about their range of concerns before, during, after product sales

These can pull traffic to your ecommerce site

Collect emails

Let your newsletter do the selling

You can create a blog but what you are publishing on blog should must be relevant to your business niche. It also helps your site with improving DA, as well as to drive traffic to with the web pages.

I would recommend creating a blog, and telling interesting stories in articles, and linking to your products. This will attract people to your blog, and then they will read your blog and then start clicking the links in the articles. That will lead them to your online store and they will buy something... In any case, many companies use this strategy.
