[Help] Backlink Question, alexa isn't showing

Ok guys, just to make sure i got this right and im not completely stupid.

Sites linking In, are pretty much just backlinks, hopefully,
ive been running a link submitter, blog commenter and a few other thing for a few months now, who be around 30-50k links out on other sites, and alexa has been the same, it hasn't changed the "sites linking in" number, it has been 3 since i started , months ago! so either im stupid or alexa is lying.

so is there another site like good i can tell how many backling i have

You can use site explorer from yahoo to check how many backlinks you got but you can only explore 1000 backlinks... Alexa ranking depends upon such visitors who got alexa toolbar installed on their browser and may be your site not getting enough of that kind to improve it...
