Hello everyone,
First, I'd like to thank the kind moderators and members here, thank you for sharing so much great info and ideas.

Here comes my problem.
I find myself cannot focus on one thing.
IRC Network? Seems good.
Youtube video marketing? Nice.
Yahoo answer, Craigslist ...

I lose my way.
I think I cannot just read post here, I need to get things going, I need to start with one method, I need to focus on it.

So, please give me some advice to help me make a choice:
Youtube video marketing, Yahoo answers, or Craiglist? (or can you suggest any other better money making ways for newbie?)

By the way, I am not native English speaker, my English is poor, so maybe Yahoo Answers is not a good choice.

Any advice will be appreciated.

It is hard to stay focused when everywhere you turn there is the latest greatest, must not pass up deal or technique. I get lost sometimes too:)

Hi bhw,

I know how you feel because I used to focus on too many things until I finally had an information overload meltdown and couldn't focus on anything at all.

Then I realized that the reason my focus was so scattered was simply because I was "looking " at too much stuff... always looking for that one quick fix.

There is NO quick fix in Internet marketing. Since you already crossed Yahoo Answers off the list, leave it alone (for now... because maybe at some point in the future, you'll feel confident enough with your English to post answers once you realize that your English is perfectly fine for providing the help that folks are searching for).

I'm pretty sure that no one here can help you make that decision because it's subjective. The best advice that I can give you is to choose the topic that you actually "like" the most. That's very important because you'll find yourself devoting endless hours to your business and if you really aren't interested in the subject, it will probably fall by the wayside.

Then, after you've figured that out, make a to-do list (yes, actually write - or type the stuff down) of every single step you'll take on a daily basis for... let's say 60 days.

Something like this:

11-19-2007 To-Do List for Craigslist

1. Look through ClickBank for an affiliate product I really like
2. Sign up for a ClickBank account
3. Purchase a domain name very similar to what the product is
4. Get a WordPress blog and host it with HostGator (or whatever you choose)
5. Get an aWeber account so that I can place an autoresponder box on my sales page to collect the names of the visitors before I send them to the affiliate sales page (so that I can build my list)
6. Write a sales page for my new product
7. Get my affiliate id for the ClickBank product I've chosen and cloak the link
8. Make sure all of the above is connected and working properly
9. Get a copy of one of the Craigslist marketing books floating around
10. Cross stuff off your list as you accomplish the tasks
11. See where you are in 60 days and if you're making money
12. Rinse and repeat or try something else

In the meantime... do not allow anything... not ONE thing, to fuzzy up your focus.

To your success,

Vic

The above advice is great in all respect but one. Instead of choosing a topic that 'you actually "like" the most, choose a topic which a majority of people like i.e the topics which are in demand. I learned this lesson the hard way . Unless you liked a hot topic naturally, it's going to be really difficult to promote a 'less in demand' topic just because you like it. Do some intensive research before you can decide on a topic. It's really very very important !

Hello,

another very simple idea to make a little bit money. Simply buy an expired domain: there are plenty on Godaddy, and park it using Namedrive.

Cheers.

eklavya is absolutely correct... duh! I completely forgot about that part. I'll change that to "pick something you really like" and then research your topic thoroughly to see if there are enough folks searching for your topic every day. Otherwise, just because you just luuvvv dusting, others may not share your enthusiasm (especially me!) and you won't make a dime.

Thanks eklavya!

Vic
