    Right now I'm in the process of setting up a website with HostGator and the Websites are registered at Godaddy. Does anyone have any resources to show me some tips, tricks, step by step guides, etc. to help me out? Anything will be greatly appreciated.

    I'm just a little confused with all the FTP, DNS, etc. etc.

    THanks!

    It really depends what you are trying to do. You don't really need an FTP client with HostGator if you are new to this kinda stuff because there cPanel is pretty easy to use.

    I recommend contacting their 24/7 live chat support if you have any questions

    Just know..

    diff between hosting / domain registrar

    basic types of outsourced hosting:
    shared
    reseller
    vps
    dedicated

    private nameservers
    how to point nameservers

    ftp is to access your file directory from your computer... easy drag and drop (upload website files so they are live)

    mysql also helps if you use wordpress

    You host at hostgator. Their Free Toll Number and 24/7 support is just there for you. So, why don't you bother them.
