HELP a desperate marketer overcome obstacles holding him back!

Well yeah..I don't know if this is a phase which many marketers have gone through or it's just my lack of self confidence. I'm stuck in my own brain, emotions, fears.. I feel like I'm not up to the task, like I'm going to fail and loose all my money. I am aware of the process failure ? feedback ? success but I fear my path in IM would be more like failure ? feedback ? failure ? giving up.

I just cant decide which road to take and even if I choose one will I stick to it or at the first sign of struggle I'll go back and choose another path..then repeat the same process over and over again succumbing in my own insecurity and lack of self discipline.

Fellow BHWers I'm asking for your help to support and motivate a nub who has been lurking on the forum reading about other people success for over two years without taking serious action. All I did was some PPD+YT for like six months and earned like 600$. Now I realized how much time I've WASTED and I just cant stand it.. I need to face my fears and ?jump into the fire? (maybe you guys could push me).

First of all I want to point out my skills or better said interest fields (skills are practical learned knowledge, I'm too lazy for that)and what I lack for IM. So..

I'm studying economics, financial management to be precise. Fields that I like are financial markets (stocks, options...), accounting and MARKETING. Yeah marketing is not that close related to finance but I love the psychological aspect of economics like crowd behavior, consumer behavior,and segmentation, advertising, general marketing ofc. I dont like to do things my on my own, love outsourcing (why do something on your own when you can pay someone to do it better). Oh yea I have a less ?than ?part ? time job which is making me about 200 bucks per month so that's my budget + 500$ from my savings.

As skills I lack when it comes to IM first of all is that English is not my mother language (you probably figured it out already), second..I have no knowledge of website design, programming language, HTML and other ?complicated? technical stuff. SEO is another skill I lack. The third downside is my over thinking process...I tend to just think too much at the technical aspects of IM (because of the fear of failure) which prevents me from thinking outside the box and coming up with creative ideas.

Okay so now this is where I'm stuck...the three IM strategies that are interesting me are:
1) Amazon affiliate and SEO (authority websites),
2) Media buying and
3) PPD + YT (again).

Give me your opinion on what should I choose. Any other suggestions, criticism, comments, just about anything helpful is more then appreciated!

Doesn't sound like you are actually willing to put forth the effort required to make it in IM.

If your really serious about it then pick 1 method, drop the sorry attitude, start busting your ass, learn everything you can, measure your results, and make an educated business decision on what your next step is going to be. Until you have more Bank to work with I would not invest too much of your savings or job income, leaving media buys out of the question for now.

Well the most important thing in my opinion is, that you are interested and you definitely are.
Look how to do keyword research find youself a keyword and just start building a site. You will learn all the necessary skills by just doing it and research on how it works.
In the beginning most of the time is reading, which can be exhausting with that flood of information coming at you, I know. But then comes TRYING without tryting you will never fail and without failure you will never know how to do it better, or twist your method.

It's no problem at all that English isn't your mother tongue, though I think it's not that bad. I am not a natural speaker either. In fact maybe concentrating on niches in your languages is better? The English market is harder to dominate than every other language.

What helps me very much is that I have a friend who is also doing Internet Marketing and trying stuff, so we can exchange information, help each other out and on top of all keep each other motivated. Just talking about the current status always gets me excited again, gives me ideas and makes me eager to go on with it!

No matter which strategy you choose (besides media buying - here you buy your traffic and it must earn you back more than you put into it - HIGH RISK for failure!), your number one goal is always going to be generating traffic. Once you have visitors on your site, you can sell them anything.

I'm from a small country and most of my earnings are coming from local sites. Competition is relatively easy, because everybody thinks that with a small audience, it's impossible to make money... But it's not true! It's very easy to make money, because you can rank anything without much work (no "advanced" SEO stuff, you don't even need links).

I'll give you a low risk plan here and some tactics similar to being an amazon affiliate (it works for every affiliate deal).

Just buy a generic domain in your language, some popular word (examples: best/info/world/mix/buy/how/your country name/ and so on...) with a com/net/org/ or your local extension. Next, find out what you can promote in your country. I am sure there are offers available in different networks (if you need help, I may have something to recommend, just tell me where you are from).

Once you find your offers (find as many as you can), start going through them one by one (pick whichever you like the best). Find your offers generic keywords and do extensive research (explained below). Make an article for each offer - write content in local language that covers all the important phrases and longtails.

For example: Random dating site offer.

Main keyword would be Dating.

Since you are local, you should know all the relevant synonyms of dating and words that go together with them (Dating -> Dating in City X, Woman looking for Man, Find sex date, Find partner, chatrooms, profiles, dating ads etc)

Now you start to google these terms to see what comes up in SERPS and in google search suggestions. Research your competitors sites for tips. Try to find as much relevant information as possible and save it all (this is 50% of the work).

The next 50%:

Compile a logical article with the massive amount of information you gathered. Put your offer right next to it or write about your offer directly with these keywords. Just cover as many relevant keywords/longtails/phrases as possible, so people can find you when they search them.

Your generic popular keyword will also boost your longtails. If you choose "Best.com", now people can find your offer dating article by searching "Best Dating". I kid you not, this little trick can bring a lot of extra traffic if you have the right combination of words, but it's not the main goal. The main goal is to have a domain name that you can use for everything.

Why this works?
Simply put, when you cover all the keywords in a niche, you will get a percentage of the traffic from search engines. Even if it's low, it's targeted and it will make you money (as long as it's a decent offer [something that people want]).

This is 100% passive income after your article is done, 1 article will make you money for many years. Cover as many offers and keywords as you can and you'll be earning a decent living soon enough.

If you want to earn money fast, try your luck with high paying offers. I wasted a lot of time with cheap ones that don't make me much (per conversion), but at least I learned the game. Just for comparison 1000 clicks on porn ads = $1; dating $10; payday loans $100 [clicks in a cheap country].

For SEO (don't worry about it if you don't know how, I think it's overrated):
a) On page SEO - Learn how to structure an article [No idea how? Just make it look nice and logically structured with titles and bold text etc for USERS]
b) Off page SEO - Link building - Links from sites with matching context. Build your own micro sites in the niche and leave links there. [You don't need links to rank longtails (I don't know if this actually works, but I'm making money and I apply this strategy a bit )]

I wish I could do this all day, because I think it's the way to go (I also run a social site, which sucks up a lot of time). Your income will build up over time and it won't disappear when you stop working.

Think about it... It's really simple... Just apply yourself and follow my advice, it really works.
