Help - 2 of My Sites Delisted

Hi Guys....I posted here because I know that you have the smarts and tools to help me figure this out!

Two of my sites literally just got ranked this last Google update but now they are not in the Google index. Why would this happen?

http://www.gotxbox.com used went for PR0 to PR 2 a couple weeks ago and then all pages left Google!
http://www.playstationhookup went from PR0 to PR 1 and then all pages left Google!

Help!!

Here are the details...I built the sites back in Oct 2007.
Pages got indexed quickly because it is on Wordpress blog. I added that video script that is floating around on the boards here back in November/December. I put a link back to the site on the video index page. I built a few links from article marketing, social bookmarking, rss feed submissions, etc. Nothing major.

Several weeks ago, I noticed that they pages indexed on each site was going up very rapidly. like thousands of pages every couple of days, I think. I assumed it was the video script but did not think there was an issue.

Now all my pages are gone out of Google, but the sites got ranked

This is the first time this has happened to me so I am a bit upset (a girl thing, I guess).

Can you please help with how this happened. Is there any way to get the pages back. I would get 100's of people per site per day. And the sales WERE coming daily...

I have other sites that I built the same way and added the video script...I can't afford to have my other sites de-indexed too.

yup, looks as they are banned. I would recommend to contact them:

google.com/support/bin/request.py

What were that pr2 for (keyword?)

Also mind if I ask how much you make on the sites?

Hi Alexa,

I had a site banned some time back ... I emailed them and was told to refer to the webmaster rules ...

Obviously something about your site has upset them. You mention that your traffic spiked a while ago. Can you trace what caused that? It may be related.

What I would do is contact them - act naive and say that you have no idea why your site has been delisted, that you asked a SEO expert to 'tweak' your site, and could something they did have caused this delisting. They may give you an exact reason ...

Sounds like google. Everytime you start to make money they stick you, not really, just seems that way sometimes. Since you did the same thing to both sites, try and remove the additions to one site, restore it to the prior state and give it about a week or so and see if your traffic returns. If it does you know why. Other than that about all I could suggest is to continue building links and possibly add some .edu or .gov links for credability.

Thanks to everyone for responding with good advice, comments and support. You are the best!

I removed the video-in a box subdirectory for the 2 sites. The problem I found was that people were not using the tags I had already loaded for the video sites. They were using the search to look for alot of distasteful stuff. I mean by the 10s of thousands. I guess that is the issue with the these video sites.

And Google was indexing all the new tags like hourly...so the pages probably grew too much too fast.

Anyway, after calming down (my husband told me to stop being a wimp!), I thought to myself...hey, if only 2 sites out of 55 now are banned...then I should be happy. I am going to keep on building!

More importantly, my traffic seems to be picking up again and the google adsense and ebay commissions have rebounded nicely even without Google. As I reviewed the analytics on both sites, my traffic is broken up pretty evenly:

by direct traffic (type in URL directly)

search engine (Google, Yahoo and MSN)

referral sites (socialbook marks, yahoo 360, googlepages, blogger, squidoo, article marketing, etc.)

Well to hell with begging Google, I cleaned up the site so if they decide to bring me back, so be it...now, I will just work on building my referral sites traffic by focusing more on my linking strategy.

Yeah, I need to get some Wiki How Links, .edu links, .gov links and .org links going on all my sites anyway.
