Hello, I would like to introduce myself as I've skimmed over this forum for a couple of years and finally decided to become a member a few weeks ago.
You know, recently me and my girlfriend of almost 10 years started the process of buying our first house. At first we was really excited about the possibility of owning our first home, we both are college educated and currently have decent careers. But as the home buying process went on, and we started to sit down with mortgage brokers, the realism of a thirty year loan hit me hard. I started to really question everything I was doing, and came to the conclusion that if I continued on with the purchase of the house, my boss would essentially have my living situation and my girlfriends situation in his hands, everyday. The thing is, I'm the type of person whom really has trouble accepting that.
I want to be able to provide for myself and my family. I want to know, and more importantly I want my future wife to know that as long as I wake up in the morning, I will be able to financially care for her and our home. So I'm holding out on the home purchase, and I plan on fully investing my free time to learning how to build an income online, and work for myself (while still working my 9 to 5).
I read a few threads, and I noticed the most important thing was that I actually started doing something, So I followed an old thread here and created a blog a few weeks back. I've made about 75 cents in one month, its not much but it is something.
I know this is going to be a long process, but I'm confident that i will figure something out that works for me. I just would like to say thank you to all the helpful and knowledge members before me and hello, because I know this is the place to be.
