I wanted to buy an affiliate marketing course initially, while checking out reviews of the course on reddit, came across a comment that every in the course is free here. So here I am.

Looking for practical, step by step guide, on how to get started. Hoping to make my first $100 and scale from there. The problem I found with myself when reading through guides and forums is that I tend to go on a lot of tangents and end up losing interest, motivation to continue cause after a while it seems so complicated.

Welcome in here and i would advise you to not be so enthuziasmed to buy a course as tons of guides are in here and majority of info you can find for free
Also when someone finds a method that makes them easy money be sure that it will not convert it as a course imediatly ,when he thing that he will start to get saturated ,then he will make a guide /course etc
